A year ago we launched our flat in Long Marton on to a very slow and difficult market with the help of the team at Arnison Heelis Estate Agents in Penrith.

In particular June Mitchell was a real gem. Conscientious and consistent throughout the process.

June gave us realistic advice from first to last. “ Spring will be the time it will probably sell” she said and that proved to be the case.

Many of the properties up for sale around us are still on the market so we are especially grateful to June’s diligence in finding us a quality buyer.

Unfortunately just as we felt happy that we had an interested party we hit problems trying to find who would transfer the lease from us to them.  This took a great deal of research and patience in tracking the right people down and asking them to set up the proper channels to administer the lease and allow the sale to go ahead.

Throughout this unusual and bizarre set of events Arnison Heelis were superb. They were encouraging and totally supportive whenever we came to a frustrating impasse which was more than once.

They liaised exceptionally well with all concerned and finally brought our sale to a beautiful conclusion last Friday December 7^th 2018.

We asked for three valuations for our property and June and Rachel’s visit to our house stood out over and above the others from the outset.  They were friendly, enthusiastic and complementary from the start whilst remaining positive and professional which helped make us feel comfortable dealing with them.

We chose Arnison Heelis to market the property because of June and Rachel’s local knowledge of the area and their expertise – we didn’t feel that an internet based firm would be able to market the property in this area without local knowledge and understanding of the area and location of our property which a local estate agent can offer.  They visited the property, put the valuation together and saw the sale through to completion, so very consistent and always on hand to answer our questions .  I don’t think that many sales are straight forward, ours certainly wasn’t but they kept in touch with us right through to the completion date and we couldn’t thank them enough.

I confirmed with Arnison Heelis  Estate Agents that I wished them to sell my home on a Thursday morning, by Saturday the property was in the shop window and on the internet (the photographs being of an exceptionally high standard).

The following Monday I was informed of a potential buyer, who visited the property and made an offer which I accepted.  Unfortunately this individual after a number of weeks withdrew the offer stating personal reasons.

The staff however reacted quickly to this and the house was soon back on the market and another offer made and accepted, sadly after another few weeks this offer was withdrawn the purchaser citing family illness.

Again the property was re-marketed and was soon subject of an offer which has recently been completed.

Through the ups and downs of the past few months June and Rachel have been supportive, helpful and proactive in relation to selling the property and they provided effective professional advice based on their experience when for example more than one offer was made.
